Amazon delivery drivers feel ‘compelled’ to urinate in cars and speed to meet expectations.
Drivers delivering parcels for Amazon have claimed that they feel obliged to miss lunch breaks and urinate in their vehicles, in order to meet the company’s expectations.
Workers explained their situation to a BBC journalist, claiming that they were expected to deliver up to 200 parcels each day.
The Independent claims that the undercover reporter was told that the drivers regularly worked over 11 hours a day, which exceeds the EU law on employees driving goods vehicles, and that they felt compelled to defecate in their cars and break speed limits to complete their round.
