British employers plan to hire staff at a similar pace in 2017 as they did last year, according to a Confederation of British Industry survey.
The survey suggests the jobs market will hold up in the new year, despite the uncertainties that Brexit may bring.
However, uncertainty over the UK’s future relationship with the European Union has weakened business confidence in the labour market, with companies expressing concern about access to skilled migrant workers.
‘After a challenging 2016, it looks as though British businesses can expect more of the same over the next 12 months,” according to Dan Dackombe, Director of Talent Solutions at LinkedIn.
Speaking to Recruitment Grapevine, he gave us his predictions for the New Year: “Our research suggests that Brexit, along with the economic and political uncertainty the referendum brought with it, means that recruitment and HR teams will need to drastically rethink how they hire and work with talent in 2017,” he explains.
LinkedIn have gone to many people to ask their views, and now they have published their results. Well worth a read.
